# Key handling endpoints

The endpoints in this section are used for handling keys to encrypt or decrypt file objects (i.e. [Secure Objects](/3.5/api/working-with-files-and-folders-fundamentals.md#secure-object)) on the Covata Platform, including the encryption/decryption of file versions and *read-only views*.
